Project Graduation

Project Graduation is a nationwide program established to provide a safe, alcohol-free and drug-free environment for students to celebrate their graduation together. This event has been organized and hosted by the Indian Hills High School Class Parents for over 35 years. Virtually all of the graduates attend this special evening and we are hoping for a near 100% participation in June 2018.  Since the inception of Project Graduation, there have been no post-graduation fatalities within our community.

Immediately following the graduation reception on Thursday, June 21, 2018, buses will be provided to transport students and chaperones to a night filled with fun, food, music, activity and entertainment. Security will be on hand all night. The students will board the and arrive back at the high school on the morning of June 22, 2018.

The total cost per student of Project Graduation is considerably more than the parent contribution listed below. We will, however, be raising funds through grants, solicitations from the business community, as well as the major fundraiser, the Senior Fashion Show, that will cover the additional costs of the program. The Senior Fashion Show committee will need a great number of volunteers to ensure a successfully evening, so please sign up to assist.

The parent contribution per student for Project Graduation 2018 will be $150. You may pay the lump sum or 3 installments($50-October 1st, $50-December 1st and $50-February 1st, 2018) by check.

If paying by check please make your check payable to “IHHS PTSO” with PG18 written in the memo line and return it with the completed attached sheet to IHHS PTSO - PG18, 97 Yawpo Avenue Oakland, NJ 07436.

Please note that no graduate will be excluded from the festivities due to economic circumstances.
